About The Position

The Area Truck Care Manager helps run our business by overseeing and supervising the operations of multiple truck care centers. The Area Truck Care Manager is responsible for sales, facility maintenance, maintaining a safe work environment and providing exceptional customer service for all assigned locations. An Area Truck Care Manager performs various daily manager duties by overseeing, directing, and coordinating activities among multiple truck care facilities to best serve our customers. An Area Truck Care Manager will also be required to provide truck service to customers as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in tire, diesel mechanics, auto parts/repair, lube express, or facilities maintenance
  • 2+ years supervising and training unit managers
  • 2+ years managing operations with an annual sales volume of $1+million
  • 2+ years affecting and deciphering budgets and P&L statements for multiple units
  • A valid driver’s license and ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle check
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer focus
  • Exceptional customer service, positive rapport building, expert salesmanship, and ensuring satisfaction by managing operations and employee-vehicle deployment
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail
  • Effective teamwork skills
  • Regular talking and hearing. Active involvement requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. Frequent lifting/moving of items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous fleet management experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Recognize and resolve customer issues or complaints by determining optimal solutions in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with District Manager(s) to effectively manage employee turnover and retention. Recruit, hire, train, evaluate and coach employees. Recommend personnel changes, as necessary.
  • Utilize the Learning Management System and other necessary training tools to verify that training is complete and consistent. Responsible for following up on training regularly.
  • Ensure proper labor management and effective scheduling at each truck care location.
  • Verify proper invoicing and payment processing for services performed at each location.
  • Effectively manage fleet of trucks and ensure each location is taking proper care and providing routine safety training to prevent accidents in the company trucks.
  • Identify areas of opportunity on monthly, weekly, and daily reports and implement plans to correct any issues.
