Purpose: Responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering training programs that support high-quality services for individuals with intellectual and related developmental disabilities (I/DD). This position oversees all aspects of new hire orientation, annual and recertification trainings, and the NADSP (National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals) DSP and Frontline Supervisor (FLS) eBadge Academy.

Requirements

  • Successfully completes the required pre-employment Background and Drug Screenings
  • Maintains a valid Driver's License which meets company standards for approved drivers
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Education, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in the intellectual/developmental disabilities field or direct support services.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to multiple residential sites and work a flexible schedule as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or training software/LMS.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and facilitate new hire orientation, including agency policies, person-centered practices, and required regulatory training.
  • Coordinate and deliver annual, refresher, and recertification trainings in compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards (e.g., DSP competencies, medication administration, behavioral support, safety, etc.).
  • Manage and support NADSP DSP and FLS eBadge enrollment, tracking, coaching, and completion.
  • Develop or update training materials, curricula, and assessment tools as needed.
  • Maintain a training calendar and ensure training requirements are met for all staff within required timeframes.
  • Conduct regular onsite visits to PA programming sites and community-based programs to observe staff performance, ensure training application, and identify areas for further development.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to staff and supervisors during field visits.
  • Collaborate with program leadership to address skill gaps, training needs, and compliance issues.
  • Ensure training programs comply with state regulations, agency policies, accreditation standards, and industry best practices related to I/DD services.
  • Maintain accurate training records, attendance, certifications, and documentation within the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Prepare reports related to training completion, compliance status, and staff development initiatives.
  • Work closely with HR, Program Directors, Supervisors, and Quality Assurance teams to align training efforts with organizational goals.
  • Participate in committees, audits, and quality improvement activities as needed.
  • Serve as a resource for staff regarding training requirements, NADSP processes, and professional development opportunities.
