About The Position

The Area Supervisor at ResCare Community Living is responsible for overseeing the provision of assistance to individuals served, ensuring their physical, social, and psychological well-being. This role involves managing and developing staff to deliver quality care, monitoring compliance with service plans, and ensuring operational efficiency across service sites.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Business, Health Care Administration, or a Social Science degree, or a High school diploma/GED with 3 years of equivalent work experience.
  • One year of supervisory experience required.
  • Previous experience providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Experience in managing systems, processes, and people.
  • Must meet all agency requirements for pre-employment as required by company and/or State regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification as a Food Service Director may be required based on geographical location.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the provision of assistance to individuals served to promote their well-being.
  • Ensures each individual has an activity schedule developed and implemented.
  • Monitors staff adherence to procedures for optimum health care and behavior supports.
  • Ensures staff completes all required documentation for quality services.
  • Monitors labor hours and ensures service sites operate within budgetary guidelines.
  • Responsible for managing client funds and proper documentation.
  • Ensures appropriate staff deployment and compliance with staffing ratios.
  • Prepares and posts schedules in a timely manner, efficiently utilizing staff.
  • Conducts performance reviews and staff counseling, including corrective actions.
  • Provides feedback and oversight on staff documentation, including progress notes and incident reports.
  • Assists with the review and tracking of incident and accident reports, participating in investigations as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with Occupational Safety Health Administration standards and documents training accordingly.

  • Full-time employment with a competitive salary of $44,990.40 per year.
