About The Position

Coastal Cocktails brings the refreshing spirit of the shoreline to life with our vibrant and delicious ready-to-drink cocktails. Crafted with high-quality ingredients and inspired by coastal flavors, we're rapidly expanding our presence and are looking for a passionate and driven Area Sales Representative to help us share our unique taste experience across Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Join our energetic team and be a key player in our exciting growth journey! The Area Sales Representative will work autonomously to focus on developing new accounts and maintaining current accounts, both on and off premise, within the industry representing Coastal Cocktails. A high emphasis is placed on increasing the availability and visibility of products in new and existing accounts by using consultative sales tactics, as well as assisting client and wholesaler needs, and participating in marketing events to promote the portfolio.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience in sales and marketing within the distilled spirits industry and/or RTD preferred
  • Understanding of the rules and regulations at the state and federal level for marketing and sales of distilled spirits products
  • Knowledge of the process of distilled spirits production and Ready-To-Drink production
  • 3+ years of proven results-oriented experience in outside sales or within the food & beverage industry
  • An intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality
  • Valid driver's license, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive to and from accounts continuously
  • Ability to lift and move cases of product frequently and ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point-of-sale frequently
  • Ability to immerse consumers in the "born on the beach" origin of Coastal Cocktails through engaging storytelling, effectively creating an aspirational "beach mentality" and driving brand affini

Responsibilities

  • Actively prioritize and drive sales of our complete Coastal Cocktail portfolio to achieve and exceed monthly sales targets.
  • Maintain a 100% focus on direct sales and increasing the number of Points of Distribution (PODs) within assigned on-premise (bars/restaurants) and off-premise (liquor/grocery/convenience stores) accounts.
  • Proactively identify and target major accounts not currently carrying Coastal Cocktail products, developing and executing strategic plans to establish successful partnerships.
  • Enhance product visibility and appeal within accounts by building impactful displays, strategically resetting coolers, and implementing effective point-of-sale (POS) materials.
  • Collaborate closely with distributor partners to ensure timely order placement, efficient product delivery, and the achievement of mutual business growth objectives within assigned accounts.
  • Conduct engaging and informative wholesaler trainings, waitstaff/bartender education sessions, and consumer-facing retail tastings and promotions to build brand awareness and drive sales.
  • Adapt to a dynamic daily work environment with frequent customer interactions, including potential requirements for weekend and holiday work to align with business needs and opportunities.
  • Conduct regular travel within the assigned market to effectively service retail and wholesale partners, with occasional travel to our Virginia Beach headquarters for team meetings and training sessions.
