The Opportunity We're seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive revenue across multiple hotels within the Lodging Dynamics portfolio. In this high-impact, individual-contributor role (no direct reports), you'll partner closely with each property's Director of Sales to execute sales strategies, grow key accounts, and develop new business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of hotel sales experience (multi-property/area experience a plus).
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding revenue goals.
  • Strong knowledge of group sales, corporate accounts, and revenue management basics.
  • Proficiency with PMS and sales/CRM platforms (e.g., Delphi or similar).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Organized, self-directed, and effective at managing multiple priorities.
  • High emotional intelligence; collaborates well across properties and functions.
  • Willing to travel 10-30%.

Responsibilities

  • Execute property-level sales strategies to achieve room night and revenue targets.
  • Manage and grow key corporate, group, and travel-partner accounts.
  • Prospect new business through research, outreach, cold calling, and networking.
  • Lead site inspections, client presentations, proposals, and bid responses.
  • Negotiate rates and contracts within company guidelines and brand parameters.
  • Identify opportunities across corporate, group, and leisure segments.
  • Build strong relationships with meeting planners, TMCs, and corporate travel managers.
  • Represent properties at trade shows, sales missions, and industry events.
  • Collaborate with property teams to ensure flawless execution of group programs.
  • Maintain accurate CRM/sales system records; report on activity, pipeline, and KPIs.
  • Monitor competitors and market trends; prepare forecasts and analyses for reviews.
  • Support properties during peak periods, including occasional on-site assistance.
