About The Position

Western States Lodging & Management is hiring an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive revenue growth and market expansion across a dynamic group of hotels in the Boise/Nampa, Idaho region. This multi-property role supports three well-known brands: TownePlace Suites Nampa, La Quinta Inn & Suites Boise, and Tru by Hilton Boise. If you're a results-focused sales professional who thrives on building relationships, uncovering new business, and growing market share, this is an opportunity to make a measurable impact across a high-performing portfolio. Position Overview As the Area Sales Manager, you'll lead sales initiatives for all assigned Idaho properties, focusing on corporate, group, and extended-stay business segments. You'll play a key role in increasing occupancy, strengthening brand presence, and building long-term client partnerships throughout the Boise metro area. This role requires regular local travel between properties and active engagement within the business community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years in hotel or hospitality sales
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel locally between Boise/Nampa properties

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Hilton and/or Marriott brands
  • Background in multi-property or regional sales roles

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans for multiple hotel locations
  • Prospect and secure new business across corporate, government, and group segments
  • Maintain and grow a portfolio of high-value client accounts
  • Respond to RFPs, inbound leads, and sales inquiries with urgency and professionalism
  • Conduct site visits, client meetings, and property tours
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and group agreements
  • Track and manage sales activity using CRM tools
  • Partner with General Managers and operations teams to ensure seamless group execution
  • Represent properties at industry events, networking functions, and local organizations
