Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package with expected first year total earnings range of $90,000 to $100,000 base. This salary range is an average range for this position. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Advanced computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Products-Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience related to the industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of wine & spirits to include regions/varietals, product/food pairing techniques.
  • WSET or other Wine/Spirit Certification preferred.
  • Strong and established relationships in the Market Place is preferred.
  • Lift carries a 45+ pound case of product.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Goal oriented, focused, and assertive individual who needs little direction or supervision.
  • Must have personal car.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and current insurance.
  • Must carry auto insurance, $100,000/$300,000 in vehicle liability and $50,000 in property damage.

Responsibilities

  • Achieving wine list and wine-by-the-glass features as well as cocktail list / back bar placements from our Spirits portfolio.
  • Developing new accounts in line with defined measurable numbers agreed with line manager.
  • Achieving distribution, displays, as well as effective shelf and cold box presentation of brands to the consumer at the point of purchase.
  • Implementing monthly Distributor Sales Team meetings on local basis.
  • Hosting Supplier visits and dinners to market where necessary.
  • Conducting PR events and educational presentations on the features & benefits of target wine brands.
  • Providing specific, current information regarding customer situations, trade and consumer trends and the effectiveness of programs executed.
  • Submitting required reports promptly and accurately as directed by the State General Manager.
  • Monitoring Distributor inventory at field level.
  • Planning and executing sales calls on on- and off-premise customers as required to achieve sales objectives.
  • Planning and working with distributor sales representatives and managers.
  • Hosting local Distributor Sales Team meetings on a monthly basis.
  • Hosting Trade and Consumer events building brand loyalty and awareness.
  • Developing effective customer specific brand merchandising and promotional programs.
  • Preparing effective presentations that encompass an in-depth knowledge of W&S sales trends, goals and strategies.
  • Ensuring the W&S department’s financial and other resources are effectively used to exploit sales and brand development opportunities.
  • Publishing weekly Sales reports in line with GSM requirements.
  • Coordinating with the Shaw-Ross sales & marketing organization and wholesaler to achieve account store/unit level distribution and promotion support for programs.
  • Monitoring expenditures versus established budgets.
