Job TITLE: Area Sales Manager - Richmond OBJECTIVE: To oversee the development of the Richmond VA sales team while successfully growing the sales and distribution of the product portfolio.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in business, marketing, sales or management
2-4 years experience in consumer package goods sales
1-2 year previous management experience
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Certified Beer Server
Proficient computer and technology skills
Valid and clean driver's license with active auto insurance
Proven leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

Supervise and direct assigned Sales Representatives and Merchandisers to ensure the greatest possible sales and distribution of products, ensure market share growth, and maintain morale and motivation.
Develop rapport with assigned customer base and promote the good will of the Company, including direct relationships with key buyers and district managers through time spent at the account level
Maintain outstanding supplier relationships for all Specialty brands in the territory
Work with the Sales Reps and supplier partners to implement and execute the marketing strategies of the Company, including regular account level promotions and occasional special events within the territory
Execute and track monthly sales goals as related to the sales team’s PFP and incentive programs
Provide route coverage where necessary
Recruitment, selection, and training of the sales force
Demonstrate a high-level of aptitude for beer industry and beer product knowledge, as well as strict observance and compliance to all laws and regulations governing the sale of alcoholic beverages
Direct Sales Rep and Merchandiser teams to ensure all product is sold within its shelf life and administered in a way that grows total company business
Ensure proper merchandising of accounts with permanent and paper POS
Other duties as assigned
