About The Position

The Area Sales Manager plays an important leadership role in a defined geographic area and grows the usage of finance products and portfolio balances in that area. What you'll do: Lead a team of sales professionals utilizing the company's Salesforce Effectiveness Program Work with the Area Manager to grow market share and gross margin Conduct on-site customer visits to promote company products and services Contact existing customers/vendors in person, by phone, or through electronic communication to further relationships and cultivate sales Participate in local and regional trade associations to create and further develop the company's presence in the marketplace and to network with existing and potential customers Network internally with company branches to promote awareness of company activities and support product information/applications Attend internal and external sales and product training sessions to advance sales skills and technological knowledge required to achieve both personal and company objectives Leverage CRM tools to manage account activity, track opportunities, document customer interactions, and report on pipeline and performance

Requirements

  • 3 or more years’ experience in the green industry with extensive knowledge of irrigation, nursery, or landscape products and practices strongly preferred
  • Ability to effectively leverage CRM tools to organize accounts, manage opportunities, and drive consistent sales execution
  • Must possess strong negotiating and selling skills and an understanding of re-wholesaling
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business/management discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Bilingual Proficiency - candidates who are conversational in English/Spanish also preferred
