Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 12+ months previous retail selling experience in home improvement or related flooring sales experience
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, weekends, and holidays
  • Warm, self-motivated, outgoing, and enthusiastic demeanor
  • Ability to stage a consultative selling process that overcomes objections and connects with customer needs
  • Ability to perform independently in an unstructured work environment
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to endure prolonged periods of standing in a store or department
  • Proficiency with technology, including computers, smartphones, and digital tools
  • Personal cellphone with a working number for role-related communication

Responsibilities

  • Promote client’s flooring solutions at assigned warehouse retail locations
  • Showcase client’s interactive flooring solutions and communication skills
  • Schedule in-home consultations for residential customers
  • Educate customers about flooring solutions
  • Accurately document and report activities and sales
  • Share best practices and provide insight and recommendations based on customer feedback
  • Present information about flooring solution benefits and services compellingly
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly appointment-setting targets
  • Maintain professional interactions and provide support to both customers and team members
  • Drive brand market share through daily direct and indirect sales activities
  • Drive sales productivity through high-quality sales interactions
  • Educate customers while making product recommendations
  • Meet or exceed personal sales productivity goals and key metrics on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
  • Generate and qualify leads for flooring solution installations
  • Support training, onboarding, and ongoing development of team members, including travel to locations for training and in-field support
