About The Position

JM&A Group is looking to add an Area Sales Director to the team. The Area Sales Director will play a crucial role in securing new JM&A business by planning and executing all sales activities on assigned accounts and being responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and delivering upon all expectations set, while growing our market share each year. This role would cover the TN, AL, FL and Puerto Rico market. JM&A Group, a leader in the automotive F&I industry, is looking to expand our “dealer-first” field sales organization. At JM&A Group, we measure our success based on the profitability of our dealers, as well as the culture we maintain for associates and the value we bring to the community. We have been trusted for over 40 years by 3,800 dealers across the country.

Requirements

  • If chosen, will need to reside in Florida
  • Proven track record of sales results
  • Expertise in the retail automotive space
  • Understands complex deal structures
  • In-depth knowledge of the competitive provider landscape in the geographic market
  • Capable of building strong relationships
  • Ability to travel overnight 80% of the time
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation skills, and can overcome objections
  • Demonstrates executive presence
  • We are unable to consider any applicants who are currently employed by our Manufacturer dealer partner stores or selling dealers and this role requires the execution of a Confidentiality and Non-Compete Agreement.

Responsibilities

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of JM&A offerings, value proposition, guardrails, etc. and be able to articulate it to prospective clients
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the competitive provider landscape and footprint in the geographic market and how our products and services differentiate
  • Collaborate with Dealer Development Specialist on prospect management and strategy for sales calls (possible in-person engagements)
  • Conduct needs analysis through a consultative discussion with key client stakeholders that identify their need
  • Observes current processes and captures baseline data
  • Collaborate with internal resources in order to build and deliver a solutions presentation to potential clients
  • Utilize internal resources to structure and finalize deals.
  • Participate in approval meetings as appropriate and ensure necessary approvals are received
  • Execute dealer agreements and ensure successful kickoff and transition to Directors of Dealer Performance and Dealer Performance Managers
