American Welding and Gas Inc is expanding — and we’re ready to add a driven, results-focused Area Sales Director to lead and grow our thriving Beaumont, TX market. The Area Sales Director is responsible for leading and growing sales performance across a defined multi-location territory. This role provides strategic and hands-on leadership to sales teams, drives revenue and margin growth, ensures consistent execution of sales initiatives, and strengthens customer relationships. The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with strong experience in B2B industrial sales, and people development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of progressive B2B sales experience, including multi-location or regional leadership.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue and margingrowth and managing high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of pricing, margin management, and contract negotiation.
  • Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce or similar).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned region.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with company goals and growth initiatives.
  • Drive organic growth, margin improvement, and new customer acquisition across assigned locations.
  • Establish sales targets, performance metrics, and accountability standards.
  • Lead, coach, and develop outside sales representatives, and sales support teams.
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain high-performing sales talent.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement training and development plans.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key and strategic customers.
  • Participate in high-level customer meetings, negotiations, and contract discussions.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
  • Partner with operations leadership to ensure consistent service delivery, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage regional sales budgets, pricing strategies, and profitability targets.
  • Review sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and KPI dashboards to drive performance.
  • Work closely with marketing, supply chain, safety, and finance teams to support regional initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent execution of company policies, sales processes, and CRM usage.
  • Support integration of acquisitions and implementation of new systems or programs.
  • Other duties as assigned
