About The Position

The Area Rack Environment Manager is a Regional/District Support role, that requires an individual who is passionate about driving sales, through coaching, hands on training and execution of all Rack Merchandising Presentation Standards and Initiatives. This role works independently and remotely, by supporting multi-district territories and serves as the ‘merchandising expert and trainer' for the Region and District Managers they support. The Area Rack Environment Manager also serves as the lead merchant for New Store Openings, Remodels, and Large-Scale Capital Projects within their Region.

Requirements

  • Leadership experience preferred, Rack experience not required.
  • The track record to show that you love to drive business.
  • The ability to lead through influence.
  • Strong teaching and coaching skills within all levels of leadership.
  • Store merchandising expertise and understand there is a science to the art.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, One Drive, Teams).
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Be the Regional expert in all Rack Merchandising ‘Best Practices' and ‘Standards'.
  • Develop District Managers in all aspects of Rack Merchandising; with focus on ‘making it easier' on our store teams and customers, and increasing sales through the use of the Smart ‘Essentials' Merchandising program.
  • Support/endorse and assist District Managers and Stores in the planning and execution of all Rack Merchandising Guidelines; inclusive of: SmartDetails, SmartGuide, and Promotional Directives.
  • Support the planning & roll-out of all ‘Merchant Growth initiatives' within the districts' they support.
  • Through store branch visits (in person and virtual), assess stores needs for and create merchandising solutions to increase sales (in conjunction with ‘thought partners': Regional Manager and District Managers).
  • Track sales and evangelize goals, progress, and successes along the way.
  • Create/provide up to date fixtures schematics for all stores in the districts they support, used in conjunction with Store Design, Allocation, Inventory and cross functional partners.
  • Lead the planning and execution of New Store Openings and Capital Projects within their Districts.
  • Identify and collaborate on new ways to enhance current tools; identify ways to streamline business practices and partner with leaders to improve operational efficiency.
  • Create organization-wide energy and enthusiasm by creating a strong communication strategy, considering various audiences, channels, frequency, and content.
