About The Position

Join us as an Area Operator in Marshall – a critical role ensuring the safe and efficient operation of chemical process systems and associated equipment. You’ll play a key part in maintaining production reliability and driving continuous improvement across the site. Your key responsibilities will be: Operate chemical process systems and related equipment to ensure optimal performance, Execute Lockout-Tagout procedures for safe equipment servicing, Monitor operating conditions and track production progress, Supervise process operations using the Distributed Control System (DCS), Identify and implement opportunities for process and performance enhancements, Foster a culture of continuous improvement focused on reliability and efficiency, Coordinate activities across Acid Wash, Mills, Packaging, Warehouse, Bulk Loading, forklift operations, and Yard truck operations, Start up and shut down equipment using control room panels and terminals, Notify Central Control of malfunctions or process deviations and take corrective actions, Document process data, production metrics, and finished product information accurately, Direct Assistant Operators and General Services crews in production and maintenance tasks, Use CMMS to enter and track work orders, Participate in safety meetings and complete required training, Maintain a clean and safe work environment, Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a plant or manufacturing environment
  • Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Experience operating heavy equipment (e.g., forklift, loader)
  • Physical capability to work in all weather conditions, stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and climb heights
  • Ability to follow safety protocols, work instructions, and departmental guidelines
  • Familiarity with Lockout-Tagout-Try procedures.
  • Competence in troubleshooting process issues and adjusting production processes based on QC lab testing.
