About The Position

The Area Marketing Coordinator supports Makeready’s Shared Services Marketing team by ensuring seamless execution across day-to-day marketing initiatives for our hotels, restaurants, bars, and brand platforms. Highly organized and detail-driven, this role thrives in a fast-paced environment—keeping projects moving forward, assets up to date, and communication flowing smoothly between property teams, agency partners, and internal stakeholders. As a key contributor to Makeready’s storytelling efforts, the Area Marketing Coordinator helps ensure all marketing touchpoints are consistent, timely, and aligned with brand standards, while supporting both property-level needs and broader portfolio initiatives.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in marketing, hospitality, communications, or a related field (internship experience welcomed).
  • Strong writing and communication skills with a sharp eye for detail, tone, and brand voice.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and positive team player who thrives in a shared-services environment.
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  • Familiarity with website CMS platforms and content updates.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and project management tools (Asana, Monday.com, or similar).
  • Passion for hospitality, creativity, and storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Support the marketing team in managing project timelines, deliverables, and task lists across multiple hotels and restaurants.
  • Submit, track, and follow through on creative requests using the project management system, ensuring accuracy and on-time completion.
  • Coordinate with internal teams including Field Marketing, Graphic Design, Social Media, Email/CRM, and PR to keep initiatives aligned and on schedule.
  • Prepare agendas, recap notes, and follow-ups for weekly hotel marketing calls and internal alignment meetings.
  • Assist in gathering, organizing, and maintaining brand asset libraries including photography, menus, activations, and campaign files.
  • Support social media initiatives by pulling content, drafting simple captions, and coordinating UGC and influencer assets with the Social Media team.
  • Assist with basic copy edits for menus, flyers, landing pages, and on-property collateral.
  • Support hotels with marketing needs for seasonal programming, packages, activations, pop-ups, and special events.
  • Coordinate event photography needs, track assets, and distribute finalized content to internal
  • Process invoices, track budgets, and help maintain the team’s shared drives and organizational tools.
  • Support brand launches, on-property activations, and internal culture initiatives with logistics, checklists, and communication.
