About The Position

The Area Manager will lead the delivery and expansion of janitorial services across the region. This role is responsible for managing a diverse portfolio, including commercial, corporate, tenant, and retail accounts, ensuring service excellence, client satisfaction, operational efficiency, and sustained business growth. The Area Manager will oversee all aspects of operations, including team leadership, client relationships, financial performance, and business development.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in operations management, with a strong focus on janitorial or facilities services in the region.
  • Proven success leading operations and driving growth, particularly within the region's competitive commercial and retail markets.
  • Deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in the janitorial services industry.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with experience managing large, diverse teams and fostering a collaborative culture.
  • Strong business development skills, with a track record of securing and managing major accounts.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and achieving profitability targets.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee janitorial operations across the region, managing a diverse portfolio of commercial, corporate, and retail accounts.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services that meet or exceed client expectations and align with the company's standards of excellence.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency, control costs, and enhance service quality.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managers, supervisors, and frontline staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and high performance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
  • Address and resolve client concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Conduct regular site visits and operational reviews to assess performance, maintain customer satisfaction, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for new business to drive regional growth.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to prepare and deliver compelling proposals, negotiate contracts, and onboard new clients.
  • Leverage industry connections and local market expertise to expand the company's presence and reputation within the region.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor budgets for the region, ensuring profitability and effective cost control.
  • Track financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to achieve revenue and margin targets.
  • Prepare and present regular financial and operational reports to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as the company's policies and procedures.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, overseeing training programs and adherence to safety protocols for all team members.
  • Conduct regular audits to maintain compliance and operational excellence across all accounts.
