The Area Manager will be responsible for the commercial sales operation for their area. Utilize the Solenis Vision, Mission and Cultural Beliefs to lead the people in the territory and deliver solutions and value to Solenis customers, new and existing. Develop and Execute growth strategies for the business and skill development strategies for team members. Safety Lead and manage safety for the team Ensure team members are completing proactive safety measures Identify opportunities for safety improvements Utilize safety discussions to prevent complacency

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in chemical engineering, pulp and paper science or will consider relevant experience
  • Approximately 7+ years of experience in Pulp & Paper

Responsibilities

  • Safely meet and ideally exceed business plan for Revenue, Gross Profit and Operating Profit
  • Manage cost budget
  • Ensure value is being delivered and documented to customers
  • Provide sales forecasts for revenue and gross profit
  • Work with sales team to maintain a realistic sales funnel
  • Establish and maintain high level customer relationships at key accounts
  • Utilize customer feedback to improve the Solenis experience
  • Coach and Lead team for technical and selling strategies
  • Utilize Solenis resources such as TREK to build competencies / skill sets in direct reports and indirect reports
  • Work with District Manager to properly resource accounts and accommodate new business opportunities
  • Open lines of communications and forums for team members to communicate/collaborate about sales targets and opportunities
  • Continuously work to develop the sales and service team
  • Maintain a healthy sales opportunity funnel
