About The Position

Accelion is seeking an Area Manager of Verizon MDU covering our Tampa, FL market. In this position, you will be responsible for building, managing, and leading a sales team, including the hiring, on-boarding, and training of new Territory Managers. The Area Manager position is also responsible for developing sales and marketing plans, managing business operations, achieving sales objectives, and assuring client satisfaction, which must result in additional awarded territory from Verizon. As an ideal candidate, you must be an experienced and high performing leader with a proven history of building strong teams, driving results, and developing future leaders. You have the ability to independently make sound business decisions and are self-aware of your personal leadership and impact on others. You are excited to travel as needed for interviews, trainings, and leadership events. You are self-motivated, detail-oriented, disciplined, organized and have a growth mindset. You are responsible and accountable; you value getting things done and validate your team’s execution. You possess strong written and oral communication skills, to effectively communicate across a variety of channels regardless of the medium. You are tech savvy and comfortable navigating Google and Microsoft products and various CRM and sales tools. You’ve mastered self-awareness, accountability, and the Accelion Way. Above all else, you are sincere, kind, and motivated by challenge and demonstrate it through your leadership.

Requirements

  • Must have proven results managing a sales team to consistently achieve company targets and objectives
  • Must have excellent computer skills with experience in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite; proficiency with CRM and sales tools and systems is a plus
  • Must be willing to travel (up to 50%) and perform overnight market visits as dictated by business needs
  • Must reside in-market (Tampa Bay / Clearwater / St Petersburg area) as of date of hire

Responsibilities

  • Devising and implementing sales and marketing campaigns
  • Interviewing, on-boarding, and training new Territory Managers
  • Providing continual in-field training, and supervision
  • Managing team to meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales targets
  • Organizing and coordinating team schedules and setting performance expectations
  • Working in different locations with varying schedules depending on business needs, including evenings and weekends
  • Building, maintaining, and creating strong customer and stakeholder relationships to generate sales and maintaining referral pipelines
  • Ensure that all operations are compliant with company and client guidelines/protocols
  • Collecting and analyzing data to measure quality and quantity of sales; forecasting results and making informed decisions for improvement
  • Establishing and overseeing internal company sales and marketing budgets
  • Explaining and vindicating sales and marketing plans to internal and external clients and stakeholders
