Solenis is a 2024 US Best Managed Company, recognized four years in a row. We are looking for an Area Manager in the Texas Gulf Coast region! You will play a pivotal role in coaching, developing and leading the technical industrial sales team and promoting sales growth in a complex sales territory. You will manage the technical team to achieve customer satisfaction and targeted profitable growth while maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency, compliance and integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Science or other technical degree). Would consider experience in lieu of a technical degree.
  • 7+ years of industry experience (water treatment preferred).
  • Experience in pulp and paper, chemical or water treatment required.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic oversight focusing on safety, contract terminology and pricing consistency within a client’s organization.
  • Efficiently managing the interface between sales resources and customers.
  • Leverages product line attributes to best fit customer needs and expectations.
  • Assess performance, define improvements, and align resources to ensure sales, gross profit, product mix and price improvement targets are met or exceeded.
  • Achieve new product launch targets.
  • Achieve or exceed our operating cash flow and working capital targets by reducing AR, controlling inventory and improving accounts payable.
  • Achieve or exceed indirect spend (SG&A) targets.
  • Lead the technical sales team in safety and environmental excellence.
  • Work closely with PTD and Supply Chain to reduce customer complaints and improve customer satisfaction through defect free on time delivery of products.
  • Work closely with HR and District Manager to continually assess personnel and aggressively develop key leaders and key individual performers.
  • Continually assess opportunities to ensure targeted business growth.
