About The Position

Primary Duties: Ensure the safety of all assigned employees through training and enforcement of all federal, state and company safety guidelines. Ensure housekeeping standards are at the highest level. Ensure product quality meets or exceeds internal and external customer specifications. Ensure all production employees are trained in workforce standardization processes and understand the expectations for successfully performing their jobs. Ensure all production standards and targets for thru put, downtime, yield and scrap reduction meet or exceed budgeted levels. Communicate effectively with employees at all levels to ensure matters of mutual concern are addressed and resolved. Ensure employees are provided appropriate guidance, counseling, or recognition on matters related to job performance and absenteeism. Maintain constructive and candid relationships by addressing issues in a timely manner. Direct and coordinate problem solving activities utilizing the Pilkington 8 step problem solving model. Promote awareness and compliance with facility environmental guidelines. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s/University degree in business or technically related field. Demonstrated ability to adapt communication style to interact with a wide variety of people. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize objectives and targets to meet deadlines. Minimum 3 years experience successfully managing people in a manufacturing environment. Strong in results oriented, adaptable, standards driven, developing, influential and informative competencies. Qualifications Desired: Six Sigma Black Belt training Strong in analytical, innovative and strategic competencies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/University degree in business or technically related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt communication style to interact with a wide variety of people.
