There are still lots of open positions. Let's find the one that's right for you.
As an Area Manager II at Amazon, you will be an integral part of our Worldwide Operations network, which is dedicated to delivering millions of packages and smiles to our customers every day. This role is designed for motivated, customer-focused individuals who are eager to lead a team of hourly workforce members. Your primary responsibility will be to engage your team during their shifts, ensuring that they maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You will play a crucial role in meeting customer expectations by ensuring that orders are delivered accurately and on time to the right location. The workflow in our operations consists of three major components: the first mile, where products are housed and prepared for orders; the middle mile, where orders are transported to your area; and the last mile, which involves delivering products directly to customers' doors. While there may be slight variations in building workflows, our commitment to customer satisfaction remains constant. As an Area Manager, you will support, mentor, and motivate your team, manage safety and quality standards, and ensure productivity and customer delivery promises are met. In this role, you will collaborate with various support teams, including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources, to develop and implement plans that align with business objectives. You will also be required to perform physical tasks, such as lifting up to 49 pounds and standing or walking for up to 12 hours during shifts. The work environment can be loud and subject to variable temperatures, especially in delivery stations that include outdoor loading areas. Additionally, you may need to continuously climb and descend stairs, depending on the site. Our fulfillment network is continuously expanding, launching new Operations sites each year, which provides numerous opportunities for professional growth. We hire Area Managers based on location preferences and the current openings within the business.
