About The Position

Manages the full fleet of primary and secondary WMHS equipment within the assigned area, in alignment with corporate objectives.

Requirements

• Must live and work in the US.
• Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience.
• Seven (7) years previous experience.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Achieving market base profitability through effective management of all fleet, maintenance and repair activities within the assigned area.
• Cost control, employee development, and maintaining high training and safety standards.
• Reviewing capital equipment requisitions in line with Corporate guidelines and objectives.
• Ensuring safe and reliable vehicles are available to meet operational requirements.
• Managing effective utilization and right-sizing of vehicle assets.
• Ensuring all fleet are compliant with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
• Conducting fleet evaluations to ensure maintenance standards are met.
• Ensuring third-party maintenance and repair suppliers perform quality, on-time, and on-budget maintenance and repairs on fleet assets.
• Ensuring vehicle management systems are effectively utilized.
• Complying with and ensuring adherence to WM's Mission to Zero standards and regulations.
• Meeting all financial review dates and corporate directed programs in a timely fashion.
• Assisting in budget process as required.
• Overseeing personnel needs of the department including selecting, coaching, disciplining, and training employees.
• Providing input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
• Conducting and/or attending periodic driver/safety meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among all employees.
• Providing training and presentations as needed in a positive and professional manner.
• Updating and submitting required reports in a timely manner.
