About The Position

In this role, the Area Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Holiday Services team, providing leadership and direction to a group of 30 CMC Cast Members. The Area Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all processes and procedures are executed with a focus on the four key priorities: Safety, Courtesy, Show, and Efficiency. This position requires flexibility, as shift schedules will vary between days and nights. The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative and professionalism in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while managing multiple priorities. Key responsibilities include leading and developing the Cast to ensure productivity and accountability, coaching team members, and driving operational improvements. The role will report to the Senior Manager. This is a Project Hire/Temporary Assignment position with a targeted end date of August 1st, and there is no guarantee of permanent placement.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to exhibit initiative and professionalism in a time sensitive, high-pressure environment managing multiple priorities through a diverse cast
  • Proven strong analytical/quantitative skills and problem-solving ability
  • Demonstrated ability to lead hourly Cast, ensuring productivity and accountability
  • Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with all levels and disciplines within the organization
  • Ability to influence and sustain operational improvements.
  • Independent and self-motivated
  • Ability to lead and develop a team, strong Cast development and coaching skills
  • Passion in our 4-Key culture of Safety, Courtesy, Show and Efficiency
  • Strong Safety skill set
  • Proven Leadership experience with direct reports
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency within Windows environment and willingness to learn new programs such as; Workbrain, SAP, and Maximo
  • Experience with project management
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage change and determine available resource
  • Familiarity with WDW collective bargaining agreements - Craft Maintenance Council.
  • Bachelor's Degree or 3-5 years of relevant work experience in Leadership is required.

  • Technical expertise in ironworking field, blueprints, structural requirements, load securement
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the spaces within our Resort and Parks locations
