As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. In this role, you will be the leader of how Google optimizes daily logistics processes while incorporating current industry standards and best practices. You will be responsible for driving continuous process improvement recommendations, managing the implementation of changes within operations, standardizing user documentation, creating processes that motivate action, and interacting with all partner teams. You will initiate and oversee operational improvement efforts for North America, South America (NASA) Google Cloud Logistics, analyze operational impacts to inform improvements, work with key stakeholders, motivate innovation within the operational teams, and create presentations or documents for the leadership team highlighting operational performance and improvements. This work will interact with both data center operations and warehouse operations as well. The AI and Infrastructure team is redefining what’s possible. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, IT, Operations, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 7 years of experience in logistics and supply chain environments managing vendors (e.g., suppliers, manufacturers) or third-party logistics groups.
  • 5 years of experience in a customer or client-facing role supporting logistics operations.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time as required.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or Master's degree in a related field or CSCMP certification.
  • 7 years of experience building relationships with stakeholders or clients.
  • 1 year of experience analyzing data and generating business insights in order to guide business decisions.
  • Experience in data center equipment environments or computer component manufacturing.
  • Ability to apply structured thinking and logic to your work and provide solutions to challenges.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of logistics operations managers across multiple locations.
  • Create, lead, and support cross-functional company initiatives/projects. Drive alignment and prioritization of initiatives in a fluid environment with many interdependencies.
  • Oversee external logistics partnership by managing and monitoring metrics for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), vendor performance scorecards, and development of business cases to support logistics process changes or improvements.
  • Manage quarterly budgets, invoice control, and capital improvement projects within your locations. Manage relationships with multiple internal customers at data centers.
  • Recognize improvement opportunities to the cost or quality of services to be provided. Be proactive in turning these thoughts into a documented business case, present the business case to your peers and management for approval, and provide ongoing project management.
