We’re looking for an Area Manager to join our Food and Beverage team in the Southeast region. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys developing people, building strong partnerships, and driving meaningful business outcomes—while bringing deep, hands-on food safety expertise to customer operations.

Requirements

  • This role requires hands-on, practical experience with intervention applications in beef and/or poultry processing. Candidates without direct intervention application experience will not be considered. In addition to knowledge of Cleaning & Disinfection (C&D), Water Treatment, and Food Safety, qualified candidates must have real-world experience supporting or managing intervention applications used directly on product during processing.
  • A college degree and experience selling in a B2B environment (specialty chemical sales preferred), with 2–3 years of experience leading or managing a sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, support, and develop a team of roughly 5-8 sales representatives to achieve targeted total gross profit across feeder parts, technical services, and sales.
  • Partner with your team to deliver on district sales goals and budget commitments.
  • Coach and mentor others by providing clear guidance and constructive feedback to strengthen commercial, technical, and business capabilities.
  • Foster consistency by ensuring alignment with systems, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, manage costs, and continuously strengthen business processes.
  • Implement and support performance planning and development conversations.
  • Collaborate closely with key customers, large/local accounts, and Key Account Managers, with clearly defined plans and shared accountability for execution.
  • Serve as a trusted technical and commercial partner to customer QA, operations, and food safety teams—particularly within beef and poultry processing environments.
