About The Position

The Area Manager position at Amazon involves overseeing and managing a team of hourly employees to ensure operational efficiency and meet business objectives. The role requires strong leadership skills to support, mentor, and motivate the workforce while managing safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises. The Area Manager will collaborate with various support teams and work in a dynamic environment that may include variable temperatures and noise levels.

Requirements

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Experience managing a team of 20+ employees.
• Experience with process improvements (Lean process, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma).
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field.
• Industry experience in retail, F&B, military, manufacturing, automotive, biotech, electronics, energy, instrumentation, machinery, defense/aerospace, medical, cosmetics, production or distribution environments.
