About The Position

The Area Manager for Locate in Alabama/Mississippi is responsible for overseeing workload distribution, managing customer relations, and ensuring effective communication with corporate and various stakeholders. This role includes mentoring supervisors, conducting performance reviews, and assisting in damage resolution, while also ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clean background check for access to restricted areas.
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass random drug screens and remain drug free.
• Computer literate with above average computer skills.
• Ability to locate effectively.
• Ability to perform PDR or damage investigations.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.
• Experienced in effective leadership in the locating industry.
• Comprehensive understanding of underground utility construction and placement required.
• Successfully complete company provided Locate Technician training program and pass all required testing.
• Three to five years' experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of workload distribution.

• Assist in damage resolution when necessary.
• Interpret reports such as PDR, audits, and production.
• Assist in difficult locate jobs when necessary.
• Maintain force to load requirements.
• Conduct performance reviews for staff.
