Requirements

• 5 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience
• SMAW and/or GTAW, GMAW welding experience
• Practical metal cutting & fabrication skills
• Ability to interface with Work Order & Safety computer systems

Nice To Haves

• Prior Steel Mill Experience
• Prior mechanical experience within heavy industry
• Prior experience with various mobile equipment
• Demonstrated high initiative

Responsibilities

• Resolve ongoing equipment safety & reliability challenges
• Identify and implement improvements to equipment and processes to reduce costs
• Plan, prepare, & execute down-day & outage work
• Support the shift team with maintaining daily operations
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities
• Be a Subject Matter Expert on area equipment
• Ensure adequate sparing
• Provide effective communication to both the Maintenance & Production team
