About The Position

We’re seeking a dedicated and reliable Area Maintenance Supervisor to join our growing team! This role involves overseeing maintenance operations for long-term care facilities, primarily in the [Region/Area]. Reliability, trustworthiness, and consistency with attendance are essential, as is the ability to multitask, work collaboratively, and thrive in a dynamic environment. ---------------------------------------- Your Impact as an Area Maintenance Supervisor In this role, you will: Oversee Maintenance Operations: Supervise maintenance staff, schedules, and functions across multiple facilities. Perform Maintenance Tasks: Ensure the physical plant and equipment are safe and functioning efficiently. Manage Preventive Maintenance: Establish, implement, and audit preventive maintenance programs. Supervise Contractors: Oversee outside contractors for necessary repairs and projects. Maintain Safety Standards: Conduct and document inspections of fire control systems and coordinate monthly fire drills. Promote Safety Awareness: Participate in new hire orientation to promote safety, disaster policy, and overall awareness. Budget Management: Work within repair, maintenance, and project budgets. Stock and Equipment Oversight: Order and maintain supplies and equipment, and repair tools as necessary. ---------------------------------------- What Makes You a Great Fit We’re seeking someone who: Has a high school diploma or GED (a college degree is desired). Brings 2-5 years of experience in a long-term care maintenance role. Has excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills. Demonstrates genuine care and interest in elderly and disabled individuals. Complies with the Patient Bill of Rights, Employee Responsibilities, and safety policies. Has experience with heating and air conditioning, boiler and water systems, washers, dryers, and emergency power generators. (HVAC experience is preferred but not required.) Understands principles of preventive maintenance.
