About The Position

The Area Maintenance Specialist e nsures that the operations of the property(ies) in assigned area of oversight are in compliance with the standards and expectations. This position collaborates with property management to ensure proper execution of a preventative building maintenance schedule for assigned property(ies). This position will also implement and maintain environmentally responsible guidelines and ensure that on-call maintenance and emergency response is executed, as required. This is an on-site position, and will be based out of several affordable housing apartment communities in the Denver area. Pay: $34-37/hour, dependent on experience. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical training and expertise in one or more building trades.
  • Minimum of two (2) years in skilled maintenance work.
  • Comprehend and communicate in the English language, both orally and in writing.
  • Perform basic math and understand measurement systems used in the trade.
  • Read and interpret electrical, plumbing, and mechanical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Make working sketches.
  • Use maintenance, trade, and testing equipment and tools.
  • Interpret and understand maintenance information generated from property management software reports.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Property Manager to ensure proper execution of the approved preventative maintenance schedule established for assigned property(ies).
  • Implement and maintains environmentally responsible guidelines, as outlined by ownership.
  • Ensure that on-call maintenance and emergency response is executed, as required.
  • Collaborate with Property Manager to ensure that maintenance contracts meet or exceed the best possible quality and expense standards.
  • Ensure that all Physical Product Practices (P3) of Operational Excellence are followed, monitored, and completed.
