About The Position

The Area Maintenance Manager at CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is responsible for leading the daily functions of material handling operations and maintenance across multiple sites. This role emphasizes maintaining a safety-first culture, ensuring safe working environments, and managing a team to achieve departmental goals. The position requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to foster positive relationships with clients and team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) or 2 years on Client account required.
  • 4+ years of compatible industry experience and/or training with demonstrated ability in leading and coaching employee performance in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years' experience with preventive/predictive maintenance of equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills with the ability to solve advanced problems in complex situations.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles, financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and/or schematics.
  • Understanding of predictive maintenance technologies such as thermography, vibration analysis, and airborne ultrasound.
  • Proven knowledge of using maintenance systems to achieve world-class equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to draw upon the analysis of others and make impactful recommendations.

  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safety-first culture ensuring employees return home in the same condition they reported to work.
  • Plan, schedule, and advise the work of employees while evaluating the quality of work.
  • Lead and coordinate the work of employees engaged in maintaining high-speed conveyance systems and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Assist Managers in communicating and accomplishing departmental goals and objectives.
  • Participate in interviewing/hiring, employee training, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and/or terminations.
  • Formulate, disseminate, and communicate work standards and/or procedures.
  • Coordinate and lead Root Cause and Corrective Actions for continuous improvement.
  • Provide performance management for team development and growth.
  • Plan and monitor appropriate staffing levels and labor utilization, including overtime.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with the company's values.
  • Cultivate positive working relationships with clients and operations maintenance team members.
