Area Maintenance Manager (Richmond/Short Pump)
About The Position
The Area Maintenance Manager for the Richmond/Short Pump region is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of multiple facilities within the designated area. This role involves strategic planning and execution of maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency. The manager will lead a team of maintenance technicians, coordinating schedules, training, and performance management to meet operational goals. They will also collaborate with other departments to support business objectives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Ultimately, this position aims to minimize downtime, control maintenance costs, and enhance the overall functionality of the facilities under their supervision.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management or a similar supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team of maintenance professionals.
- Familiarity with maintenance management software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned area.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans for all facilities within the area.

- Coordinate with operations and other departments to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to business.
- Manage maintenance budgets, including forecasting, cost control, and procurement of necessary parts and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to facility maintenance and safety.
- Analyze maintenance data and reports to identify trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues to minimize downtime and operational impact.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
