About The Position

The Area Maintenance Lead supports multiple residential communities by coordinating, supervising, and performing maintenance activities. You will ensure safe, secure, and comfortable living environments while managing workflow, quality checks, and staff support across 8–15 properties. This role combines hands-on maintenance with team leadership and operational oversight.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Experience with affordable housing regulatory inspections (REAC/TCAC/MOR)
• Valid California Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and travel between multiple properties

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assist with unit, safety, and pre-agency inspections
• Plan, prioritize, and perform maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, painting, and grounds work
• Support property staff with move-ins, move-outs, and work order completion
• Maintain inventory of maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies, and ensure clean common areas
• Supervise, coach, and assist maintenance teams, providing coverage during staff absences
