JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the Outbound Supervisor , this role is responsible for organizing and prioritizing daily picking assignments to meet deadlines. This role involves coordinating with various departments, directing staff, managing inventory flow, operating equipment, and troubleshooting picking errors to meet KPIs. This position will lead a team of materials handlers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high productivity and adherence to safety standards.

Requirements

  • Strong background in Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) strategies and Quality Assurance (QA) initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and software, specifically Infor LN
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in materials handling
  • 3 years’ supervisory experience in operational setting
  • Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives
  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the picking team, including scheduling, training, and motivating pickers to maintain high performance and accuracy
  • Organize and prioritize daily picking assignments to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with inbound, outbound, and quality control departments to ensure stock availability and resolve any discrepancies
  • Implement and maintain inventory management systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Verify accuracy of picked orders, including quantities, scanning items, and inspecting for damage
  • Resolving issues in the picking process and reporting equipment repairs to management
  • Analyze stock usage patterns and trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement
  • Serve as a "working lead," often performing high-volume picking or equipment operation alongside the team during peak hours
  • Develop and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
  • Perform other related job duties
