About The Position

This position will provide support to the Credit function and associated Simplot priorities by maximizing quality sales, making good credit decisions, collecting accounts timely, and ensuring policies and procedures are followed. This position is not offered in Boise, ID. Although the role is remote, eligible candidates must be residing within the Central Time Zone including, but not limited to, Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Illinois and/or Missouri to meet the travel requirements of the role.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a 4 year college or university.
• 5+ years related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes financial strengths/weaknesses of prospective and existing customers to determine eligibility for credit, financing, or related services.
• Establishes and maintains effective communication with a creditable information network.
• Develops, implements, and manages effective collection procedures in accordance with established credit policies.
• Manages collections process to ensure proper sending of follow-up inquiries, negotiating with past due accounts, and referral of accounts to collection agencies.
• Provides insight for the updating of the credit policy as to new concepts and procedures.
• Analyzes and recommends specific reserves for bad debt expense (when assigned).
• Understands, communicates, and implements Simplot's Credit Policy and Procedures.
• Assists in providing and interpreting credit information for management and others as required.
• Remains informed of agricultural trends, changes, and practices.
