The Area Director of Sales, Group is a pivotal role within the Auberge Resorts collection, responsible for driving group business in alignment with the strategic plan to maximize room revenue across two premier properties in Napa Valley: Stanly Ranch and Solage. This position requires a dynamic leader who can effectively manage a team of Sales Managers and Coordinators, ensuring that the sales strategy is tailored to meet the unique business needs of each hotel. The Area Director will work closely with the revenue managers of each property to synchronize group sales efforts with overall revenue goals, particularly during peak and non-peak periods. In this role, the Area Director will oversee account and production goals within the assigned region, actively supporting the collection's revenue objectives by generating group business. The position involves organizing and scheduling direct sales efforts through various channels, including phone, email, and in-person meetings. A key responsibility is to evaluate and initiate opportunities for developing new sources of business, while also assisting in the planning and execution of a comprehensive 12-month strategic business plan for each property. The Area Director will lead daily sales calls, participate in weekly Revenue Management Calls, and conduct monthly conference calls to ensure alignment and communication across teams. Financial acumen is essential, as the role requires coaching team members on effective negotiation strategies and contract management. The Area Director will also curate and conduct site visits to showcase the properties, ensuring that potential clients experience the unique offerings of Auberge Resorts. Maintaining strong relationships with department heads and the property Events Team is crucial to ensure guest satisfaction and operational success. The Area Director will represent the Sales Team at Operations Meetings, providing proactive engagement with General Managers and establishing initiatives to promote the Auberge Resorts brand. Additionally, the role involves evaluating promotional events and community engagements to ensure a positive return on investment, while also targeting key accounts for familiarization trips to enhance business opportunities. Overall, the Area Director of Sales, Group is expected to embody the company's mission and culture, maintaining a professional demeanor and high standards of sales service while performing other duties as assigned.
