About The Position

Loews Arlington Hotel and Convention Center is a state-of-the-art, full-service meetings and resort destination that caters to groups of all sizes, as well as families who are looking for a world-class experience in the epicenter of the premier sports and entertainment district in the country. Centrally located between Dallas and Fort Worth between iconic sports stadiums, Globe Life Field, home of the 2023 World Series Texas Rangers and AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, the 888-room resort features five restaurants and lounges, two pools with an authentic sandy beach, cabanas and a water slide as well as a fitness center, full-service spa and salon and 266,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Purpose: As Area Director of Group Sales, you will be responsible for cultivating and managing a diverse portfolio of corporate and association group accounts. With a focus on innovation and collaboration, you will drive revenue generation and enhance the hotel's presence in key markets, aligning with our vision at Loews Hotels & Co.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills - oral and written
  • Excellent networking, negotiation and presentation skills required
  • Must be a skilled leader, have strong organizational skills, and have thorough knowledge and understanding of hotel operations
  • Must be actively involved in key industry organizations and seen as a leader for the hotel
  • Experience with group and transient markets
  • Experience with business related to diplomatic visits, consulates and royalty from international markets
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to speak multiple languages is preferred
  • Outstanding presentation skills, both oral and written presentation
  • Highly analytical, creative problem solver and strong leadership skills
  • Experience with basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Delphi and OPERA is a plus
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Northeast Region or National Association experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Identifies sources of group & individual reservation volume opportunities for the hotel and establishes solicitation programs to maximize sales capture of identified opportunities
  • Be responsible for and implements a sales action plan to develop designated market segments
  • Develops active communications and close rapport with, Loews National Sales Office, Third parties and other sources of sales information and support
  • Administers outbound sales programs to deliver qualified leads to other Loews Hotels
  • Achieves personal sales goals as designated by the Director of Sales
  • Executes sales trips and attends trade shows beneficial to designated market segments as specified in the annual marketing plan
  • Participates in key industry events and organizations that bring national and local exposure
  • Provides a resource to Sales Managers by reviewing business leads, proposals and contracts
  • Provides reports of activities as requested by Area Director of Sales
