The Area Coordinator (AC) is a twelve month, live-in staff member in the Residence Life Office at Davidson College. As a member of the Division of Student Life, the AC will join a competent, committed team who cares deeply about students and actively works to promote a welcoming, socially just environment for all people. The AC serves as a front-line responder in campus emergency situations, is often required to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, and works closely with a diverse student population. Each AC has a focus in one of three areas within the department: First-Year Experience, Sophomore Experience, and Upper class Experience. The collateral assignment each person is assigned may change from year to year depending on college or departmental goals and initiatives.
