About The Position

We're looking for a dynamic area coordinator to oversee operations planning for turnarounds and down days, ensuring our plant runs smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you'll be responsible for asset readiness, managing workflow requirements to meet key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensuring compliance with EHS MS programs and business unit initiatives. You'll plan, coordinate, and execute scheduled down days, manage budgets to maintain asset availability, and lead root cause analysis using available data. Your expertise in process and equipment will be crucial as you support the production supervisor and liaise with maintenance management, ensuring clear communication and smooth operations.

Requirements

  • High School/GED is required.
  • Bachelor's is preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • 2+ years supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 1+ years experience in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Process improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage plant asset readiness and workflow requirements.
  • Plan, coordinate, delegate, and execute scheduled down days.
  • Manage controllable spend plan to ensure asset operational availability.
  • Serve as operational lead and liaison to maintenance for turnaround and planned downtime.
  • Provide work direction to the team as well as timely and constructive feedback to ensure employees have a clear understanding of their work, roles, business goals and performance standards.
  • Manage performance issues.
  • Develop, coach, and support employees with their career development for retention.
