About The Position

The Area Coordinator at Perdue Farms is responsible for supervising and managing Flock Advisors, farm workers, and contract farms. This role involves developing and monitoring various programs related to poultry health, including growing, vaccinating, and feeding programs, to ensure that company goals and objectives are met. The position requires travel to various facilities to monitor conditions and provide leadership and training to associates and producers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 0-3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Good communication skills (oral and written).
  • Strong reading, math, and analytical skills.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft applications.

  • Experience in poultry or agricultural environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and manages Flock Advisors, farm workers, and contract farms.
  • Develops and monitors programs for growing, vaccinating, and feeding poultry.
  • Travels to Growout facilities and poultry houses to monitor bird health.
  • Provides leadership, training, and coaching to associates and producers.
  • Ensures compliance with bio-security, food safety, and poultry welfare programs.
  • Coordinates resources for research trials at research farms.
  • Generates and maintains records according to trial protocols.
  • Reviews data for inaccuracies and implements corrective actions.
  • Establishes operating procedures to minimize bird stress and optimize research data quality.
  • Ensures a safe working environment for associates.
