About The Position

This position is a key role within the organization, responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of a specific area or department while also assuming line lead responsibilities. The individual in this position will provide leadership, guidance, and support to a team of employees, ensuring the smooth operation of the area's functions and maintaining high productivity levels. The Area Coordinator will collaborate with other departments, manage resources, and drive process improvements to achieve operational goals and deliver exceptional results. Responsible for materials receiving, storage, transfer, inventory accuracy, general housekeeping, and sanitation at one or more 10,000 square foot storage sites. Primary duties include receiving, unloading, and verifying incoming materials, supplying materials and products to production areas, and verifying the accuracy of receipts, transfers, and stored materials. This position works closely with the shift supervisor and systems specialist to identify and resolve problems regarding the timely movement of materials in storage and the fulfillment of customer orders

Requirements

  • Ability to sit for an extended amount of time.
  • Lift up to 50+ lbs.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, consistently meeting deadlines with accurate and detailed results.

Responsibilities

  • Certified to operate a REACH lift
  • Use Warehouse Management System to research/gather information
  • Coordinate and manage the daily operations of the assigned area, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Serve as the line lead, assist with supervising the flow of the work and process.
  • Assist with identifying process bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, and propose and implement solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in department processes and troubleshoots problems and issues.
  • Provide one on one or group hands-on training for new and returnee associates on all functional aspects of the ticket processing job.
  • Tracking inventory levels of products and ordering more supplies as needed.
  • Processing orders, verifying prices and availability of products with vendors, and shipping products to customers.
  • Proficient in using computer applications and software relevant to the role.
