Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent foreign degree required.
  • Veterinary license in good standing or eligibility for licensure.
  • 3 years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery practice.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Responsible Veterinarian for Veterinary and Pharmacy Board Permits.
  • Manage controlled substance inventory for relief doctors.
  • Engage and retain doctors through proactive strategies.
  • Oversee coaching programs for newly hired veterinarians.
  • Partner with the Director of Veterinary Quality and Talent Acquisition to recruit veterinary talent.
  • Deliver an excellent hospital experience to student externs and veterinary candidates.
  • Ensure associate doctors achieve productivity goals through high-quality medicine.
  • Deliver veterinary operations KPIs through leadership and partnership with practice managers.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical essentials and government regulations.
  • Develop a veterinary leadership talent bench and succession plan.
  • Manage medical equipment inventory and requests.
  • Resolve client complaints related to medical standards of care.
