Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 5+ years pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales experience.
  • 2+ years of Oncology experience.
  • Experience working with key thought leaders or high influence customers preferred.
  • Skilled with data-driven resource management.
  • Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards.
  • Cross-functional collaboration mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with peers.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years Area Business Manager experience.
  • MBA or relevant graduate degree.
  • Advanced communication skills for facilitation and remote collaboration.
  • Strong track record of collaborative and motivational leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Report into the Regional Business Director and work with customer-facing and HQ teams across Oncology.
  • Supervise and lead 7 Senior Oncology Account Specialists within the assigned area.
  • Manage sales performance of the business portfolio of products.
  • Assess key stakeholders and future trends within the business marketplace.
  • Conduct regular in-field and virtual coaching and observation of Field Sales Representatives.
  • Develop strong partnerships with marketing and channel colleagues.
  • Ensure compliant execution by team members and advance a culture of integrity.
  • Supervise operations of the Area including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and business plans for the Area.
  • Monitor performance to achieve business potential and ensure effective utilization of promotional material.
  • Conduct proactive data analysis to identify market trends.
  • Build relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Develop external advocates and contribute to advocacy and community engagement.
  • Champion cross-functional collaboration to deliver on customer needs.
  • Coach representatives on connecting with cross-functional colleagues.
  • Plan and conduct meetings with Area Management Teams and Channel Partners.
  • Partner with Marketing in the development of key strategies and business imperatives.
  • Maintain enhanced product and market knowledge to respond to customer inquiries.
  • Utilize digital and virtual tools/platforms effectively.
  • Demonstrate advanced communication skills and maintain a systematic approach to virtual engagement.
  • Coach and counsel team members on performance improvement and skill execution.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and processes.
  • Build a strong team culture and promote a feedback culture.
