The Area Access Management System Administrator at Pinkerton is a pivotal role that requires a blend of tactical and operational expertise. This position is dedicated to one of Pinkerton's largest global clients, ensuring that access to various spaces is strictly controlled and limited to authorized personnel only. The Administrator will implement the principles of the "Zero-Trust" model within the corporate security framework, which emphasizes the need for verification at every access point. This role involves a thorough review of the logical connections between permissions groups and physical devices, as well as auditing access levels to identify any misconfigurations. The Administrator will be responsible for validating that only verified individuals have the necessary permissions and will autonomously drive the execution of required changes to the system until resolution is achieved. In this role, the Administrator will represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence. They will support the client's Regional Program Security Manager by managing day-to-day access requests across multiple sites, ensuring that approvals are based on individual needs and verified personnel lists. Proactive auditing of system connections between devices and access permissions is crucial to identify potential misconfigurations that could inadvertently allow unauthorized access to restricted areas. The Administrator will also be tasked with driving the execution of action items related to correcting these misconfigurations or revoking individual permissions as necessary. A deep understanding of space functions, owners, and the organizations occupying those spaces is essential for applying the principle of least privilege (PoLP) to individual permissions. The Administrator will manage multiple area access management security workflows that are critical to operational success, analyze datasets and space layouts, and leverage software systems to accomplish key tasks. Additionally, they will assist with the security design and implementation for facilities, ensuring that all security measures are effectively integrated and maintained. Other duties may be assigned as needed, reflecting the dynamic nature of this role.
