About The Position

Plans, coordinates, supervises, and carries out the activities of the ultrasound area. Work is carried out in an independent, professional manner with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Technical or Vocational school plus up to 2 years specialty training.
• No prior work experience required.
• Must obtain CPR certification within 30 days from hire.
• Must possess or obtain one of the ARDMS credentials (RVT, RDCS, RDS), one of the CCI credentials (ACS, RCCS, RCS, or RVS), or ARRT(S) credentialing within 18 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in patient care for various age categories.
• Participates in continuing education and department meetings as certification.
• Performs ultrasound procedures.
• Maintains all professional registrations and certifications mandated per policy.
• Stocks ultrasound area with proper supplies.
• Maintains proper patient records.
• Responsible for OA/AC programs.
• Responsible for ultrasound maintenance on equipment including proper records.
• May be assigned to work a shift or take call at any ultrasound site within Tanner Health System.
• Performs tasks involving contact with blood, blood-contaminated body fluids, or sharps.
