About The Position

The ARDMS Breast Sonographer position at HerScan involves providing mobile breast imaging services in Richmond and surrounding areas. The role requires a highly experienced professional who can demonstrate sonographic skills, operate equipment effectively, and ensure patient comfort and safety during examinations.

Requirements

• Active certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Breast or by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT, BS) with advanced certification in Breast Ultrasound.
• Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for Breast Ultrasound.
• Current BCLS Certification.
• Three (3) years of experience performing Breast Ultrasound as primary responsibility.
• Reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate sonographic skills to identify, record pathology, and adapt procedures as needed to position patients for optimal imaging.
• Acquire optimum breast sonographic information for the Radiologist team using independent judgment.
• Evaluate images for technical quality, ensuring proper identification and adherence to imaging protocols.
• Operate sonographic equipment effectively to consistently acquire high-quality images.
• Communicate effectively with patients and the healthcare team, addressing the special needs of each customer.
• Provide appropriate instructions for patients and ensure their safety and comfort during procedures.
