About the position

AECOM is seeking an experienced Architect to join our collaborative Architecture and Interiors team in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role involves working on varied projects both locally and internationally in both the private and public sectors, including State and Federal work. The Architect will perform architectural calculations, prepare specifications and reports, maintain liaison with design groups, and review and approve drawings, all while ensuring projects are completed within approved schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic architectural/engineering calculations.
  • Prepare specifications, reports, and related data tables.
  • Maintain liaison with design and drafting groups.
  • Prepare, review, and approve drawings as required.
  • Independently perform advanced technical assignments of various complexities under the direction of the Supervising Architect.
  • Coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and departments on assigned projects.
  • Assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.
  • Review and approve conceptual designs.
  • Assist in the development of new architectural methods and techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Professional Architecture License.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient with Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Master of Architecture/Licensure strongly preferred.
  • Professional Hawaii Architecture license.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Federal and DoD project requirements and criteria.
  • Familiarity with State of Hawaii and City and County of Honolulu project requirements and criteria.
  • Strong Design Development/Construction Document experience/capabilities.
  • Excellent time management.
