About The Position

RS&H is currently seeking a Summer 2026 Architectural Intern (Aviation) for the Buildings Group in Tampa, FL. The Aviation Architectural Intern will collaborate with and be mentored by top Architectural associates on our team. The selected candidate will work with associates assisting the Aviation Group on a variety of conventional and design-build projects that combine innovative design with a strong knowledge of technical standards to exceed client expectations and provide cost-effective solutions. The selected candidate will collaborate with our team of Project Managers, Architects, and Engineers, as needed by workload, providing a better insight to the type of work other departments are doing. This is an amazing opportunity to gain hands-on experience and a better understanding of the Aviation market.

Requirements

• Upperclassman (Junior, Senior) or Graduate student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architectural Design at an accredited university
• 2.5 GPA or above
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously

Nice To Haves

• Prior internship or related experience
• Revit, Photoshop, Enscape, and/or Twin Motion experience with strong graphics and visualization skillsets
• Experience or exposure to Federal Aviation Administration Advisory Circulars
• Specific interest in Aviation Building market

Responsibilities

• Perform design resolutions requiring knowledge and application of basic Architectural principles
• Prepare and revise plan documents details
• Evaluate and review shop drawings for ongoing construction projects
• Use of Revit and other visualization software to reconcile construction challenges
• Provide support to Architectural and project management associates
