About The Position

The Architecture Designer III position at AECOM involves working on significant transportation projects, particularly focusing on heavy and light rail station and maintenance facility projects. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of architecture experience covering aspects of building design including survey, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2010 (or higher) and Autodesk Revit 2014 (or higher).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong knowledge of American Disabilities Act/American Barriers Act and the International Building Code.
  • Management experience on BIM projects is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of pre-development efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.
  • Preparing specifications, reports, and related data tables.
  • Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.
  • Independently performing advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets under the direction of the Supervising Architect.
  • Coordinating technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and departments participating on an assigned project.
  • Assisting in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.
