About The Position

The Architecture and Landscape Architecture Library is seeking a customer service-oriented individual to assist at the circulation desk on Fridays from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, beginning the week of May 10 and ending the week of August 23 . There is a possibility of additional hours, but this is not guaranteed. Successful applicants will benefit from our comprehensive training program, which supports new staff members in research, customer service, and library policies and practices. Applicants should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service, diversity, equity, respect, and inclusion.
The ideal candidate will be someone who can learn rapidly and follow directions and library procedures in a fast-paced environment.
Dependability and punctuality are essential

Nice To Haves

Prior library experience is strongly preferred.
Experience in a public service setting and fluency with computers and computing applications.
Experience in library research, a facility with information technology, and an undergraduate degree or equivalent knowledge in architecture, landscape architecture, art history, or a closely related design field are highly desirable.
